Privacy Policy
Loanly (“the app”) is developed by Koda Digital (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Loanly. The short version: nothing leaves your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Loanly has no account system, no login, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. We do not operate any server that the app talks to, and we have no way to see, access, or receive any information you enter into the app.
What’s stored, and where
Everything you enter — item names, who you lent something to or borrowed it from, due dates, notes, categories, and any photos you add to an item — is stored on your device only. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export a backup or spreadsheet file (see below).
Photos
With Loanly Pro you can add photos to an item, either by taking one with the camera or by choosing one from your photo library. Loanly only ever sees the photos you pick: it does not browse or read the rest of your library. A copy of each photo you add is kept inside Loanly’s own storage on your device, and is included in backup files you export. Photos are never uploaded anywhere.
Purchases
Loanly is free to use. Loanly Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase, handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. Loanly never sees your payment details, name or email. To know whether Pro is unlocked, the app asks the store on your device which purchases your store account owns, and remembers the answer on your device. Nothing about your purchase is sent to us or to any server of ours, because there isn’t one.
Notifications
Loanly schedules local reminders on your device for items with a due date, using your device’s own notification system. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on-device — no push notification service or remote server is involved, and we never see when or whether a reminder fires.
Backup and restore
Loanly lets you export your data — items and photos — to a backup file and choose where to save it, using your device’s share sheet (for example Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or email). The file is created on your device; Loanly does not upload it anywhere on your behalf. Where it ends up, and who can access it, is up to you and the destination you choose.
Restoring works the same way in reverse: you pick a file from your device, and Loanly reads it locally to restore your data.
Loanly Pro can also export your list as a spreadsheet (CSV) file through the same share sheet. Like a backup, it is created on your device and goes only where you send it.
Permissions
Loanly asks for these device permissions, used only as described:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Notifications | To show local due-date reminders |
| Camera (only if you take a photo) | To take a photo of an item, when you choose to |
| Photos (through the system photo picker) | To add a photo you pick to an item; Loanly sees only the photos you choose |
| Files (through the document and share pickers) | To export a backup or spreadsheet file, and to pick a backup to restore |
Children
Loanly does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version adds a feature that sends data somewhere — we’ll update this page and the date above.
